1. Purpose of the App

The App is designed to serve as a reminder tool to encourage users to perform breast/chest/pec self-examination once a month. The App provides educational content and information to help users become familiar with their bodies to recognise any changes. Not all changes in the breast can be spotted by self-examination.

The App is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

2. User Responsibilities

Eligibility: Anyone over the age of 16 can use the App.

Account Creation: To use the App, you will need to create an account. This will include providing your preferred name so the app can personalise content, your geographical location, and basic information on your menstrual cycle timings in order to calculate your reminders. If you do not want to provide menstrual cycle information, you will have the option not to, but setting your reminder dates to time with the end of your periods will become your sole responsibility. The app will base your reminder dates on the information provided, it is your responsibility to manage the accuracy of the dates selected, whether you provided basic menstrual timings data or not. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. If you do not want to set up an account you can't use the App.

Compliance: You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment of the App. You are a licensee of the My Breast Friend app, which licence can be revoked or suspended at any time for a breach of the Terms and/or at the discretion of My Breast Friend.

3. Disclaimer

The information provided through the App is for educational and informational purposes only. The App is not a healthcare provider, and the content should not be considered medical advice.

Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition or concern.

The use of the sites listed and accessing links to those other sites and their content is not the responsibility of My Breast Friend.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Breast Friend, its owners, developers, and/or affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, losses, claims, costs or liabilities of any kind arising from or related to your use of the App. This includes, but is not limited to, any errors or omissions in the content, any loss or misuse of data or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of the App.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are the exclusive property of My Breast Friend and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without express written permission.

6. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will send you a device notification of any changes by updating the effective date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the App following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Guernsey, Channel Islands. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Guernsey.
